Timoptol 0.5% Eye Drops contain timolol maleate, a beta-blocker that reduces intraocular pressure by decreasing aqueous humour production. Used primarily in glaucoma and ocular hypertension treatment, this formulation supplies 5mg/ml in a convenient single-dose presentation. The sterile, preservative-free format minimises eye irritation and contamination risks. Instil one drop into the affected eye(s) as prescribed by your ophthalmologist, typically once or twice daily. Allow at least five minutes between different eye medications. Store unopened doses at room temperature away from light. Once opened, use immediately and discard the container. Systemically absorbed timolol may affect heart rate and breathing in susceptible patients; inform your doctor of cardiovascular or respiratory conditions.
